      Hi zusammen,

      ich habe zwei Fragen zum ZUKI-Theme:

      1 ) Wie kann ich das Datum der Veröffentlichung in Blogbeiträgen ausblenden? Also sowohl auf der Startseite, wo die Beiträge angeteasert werden, als auch auf der jeweiligen Detailseite.
      2 ) Wie kann ich die Schlagwörter in einem Beitrag ausblenden?

      Vielen Dank!
      LG

        Possible to have a white content area?

        Hi! Been searching all night for a solution. I love Zuki and how adaptable it is. But I can’t find an option to customize the content area. When I choose a custom background, the content kind of “disappeares” into the new, dark backround – instead of beeing on a white content area.

        Is it possible to have a custom background, but still have a white area where the content, menu etc is? I’ve been doing some custom CSS, and have all my posts in one feed instead of the front page. I’ll paste it here in case it’s relevant.

        Hope you can help as I do not want to search for another WordPress theme again. Zuki is perfect – except from this content area-problem.

        CODE:
        .blog .entry-thumbnail {
        display: none;
        }

        .single-post #primary {
        float: initial;
        margin: auto;
        }
        .blog #primary {
        float: initial;
        margin: auto;
        }
        .category #primary {
        float: initial;
        margin: auto;
        }
        .page #primary {
        float: initial;
        margin: auto;
        }
        #site-nav {
        font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif;
        font-weight: bold;
        }
        #header-top-nav {
        span class=”hilite”font/span-family: Helvetica, sans-serif;
        font-weight: bold;
        }
        .entry-header a {
        font-family: Helvetica;
        font-weight: bold;
        }
        .entry-header, .entry-header a, {
        font-family: Helvetica;
        font-weight: none;
        }
        .entry-header h1.entry-title, .entry-header h2 {
        font-family: Helvetica;
        font-weight: bold;
        }
        .page-wrap .content-wrapper{
        background: #FFFFFF;
        }

          Hi,

          can you post the direct link to your website and the URL to your background image you want to use? With this information I can provide some sample CSS code as a start for your adjustments.

          Best,
          Marc

          Hi I like Zuki thanks for the great…

          Hi, I like Zuki – thanks for the great theme!
          Somehow my links in the sidebar always get my domain name in front of the url that I want to link to.
          Example: I want to link to http://www.airbnb.com but if I hover the link on the front page it links to http://mydomain.de/www.airbnb.com
          Do you have any idea how to fix this?
          Thanks ahead for your support!
          Robin

            Hi Robin,

            please make sure to provide the protocol to use for your links as well. If you’re only entering “www.airbnb.com” in the address field, WordPress cannot know, that this target is no relative path to your domain. You need to enter “http://www.airbnb.com” (or “https://” regarding the preferred protocol of the target).

            Best,
            Marc

            Probleme mit Zuki-Theme nach WordPress-Update

            Hey,

            ich kann seit dem WordPress Update den “Customization” panel nicht mehr benutzten. Ich wollte das Zuki-Theme daraufhin updaten, doch mein Download-Link funktioniert nicht mehr. Habe dann über das Kontaktformular eine mail mit Rechnungsnummer, Datum usw geschickt um einen neuen Link zu bekommen. Das ist über eine Woche her und ich bräuchte jetzt dringend den neuen Download-Link für das Zuki-Update, was kann ich noch machen?

            Liebe Grüß

            Helena

              Hallo Helena,

              ich vermute, dass der Theme-Kauf bereits mehr als 12 Monate zurückliegt. Bitte habe Verständnis dafür, dass im Kaufpreis nur Updates für 12 Monate enthalten sind. Du kannst an dieser Stelle weitere 12 Monate Updates erwerben.

              Viele Grüße
              Marc

                Hey Marc,
                Danke für Deine Antwort.
                Ich bin allerdings ziemlich enttäuscht. Ich habe das Zuki-Theme im März 2015 gekauft, also wenige Monate bevor das 1.1.3. Update rausgekommen ist. Ich hab damals gar nicht mitbekommen, dass es ein Update gibt und brauchte es auch nicht. Jetzt, nach dem WordPress-Update kann ich mein Blog quasi nicht mehr benutzen ohne das Zuki-Update. Ich möchte es aber nicht nochmal komplett kaufen müssen. Gibt es da nicht irgendeine Möglichkeit der Kulanz?
                Ich hoffe, dass es eine Möglichkeit gibt, ich bin gerade ziemlich aufgeschmissen.

                Liebe Grüße

                Helena

              Zuki font changes

              Hi Marc, Ellen and everybody! I need some support  for changing CSS code. I use cyrillic and default fonts should have some aggustments which I can not realise using general fonts plugins…

              1. I want to change a font of all posts content from Libre Baskerwille to Karla, in this way the paragraphes and post content will be in the same style. Also it should be changed not only in blog posts pages but also on my front static page and in the area of all post in widget of static page sitebar. Could you please give me an additional code or code to change?
              2. Is it possible to remove “written by” on singe post below name of paragraph via CSS?

              Thank you for your help beforhand! Viele Grussen!
              Anna

                Hi Anna,

                1) most browsers provide a tool to inspect the used CSS code of elements. Simply right click on an element and select “Inspect Element”, “Element Information” or else and the tool will open. It shows the used CSS and how to address the elements in custom code.

                2) Unfortunately you’d need to remove this string directly from the theme code. I strongly recommend using a child theme for such adjustments. A prepared child theme folder is linked in the Zuki documentation.

                Best,
                Marc

                Zuki problem with widget

                Hi! I am creating my front static page adding widgets in zuki widgets area. The problem is that every widget dublicate the same recent posts which are already published by another widget. So in my front page I see only latest 4-6 posts situated in different widgets without seeing oldest posts.  How can I resolve it?

                Another thing. How I understand the order of appearing post on the front page is “from letest to oldest” – Do you know any way to choose by myself  the post for being shown of the front static page?  May be with some plugin..

                Thank you!

                  Hi,

                  you can use different categories for your widgets. You’d need to assign your posts to different categories, so they won’t appear in another widget as well.

                  Unfortunately you’d need to adjust the widget code in order to change the ordering of your posts. You can adjust the inc/widgets.php file in your theme directory by adding a parameter for the wp_query function. Please be aware that these changes would be overwritten by a future theme update.

                  Unfortunately we cannot provide help for individual customizations in the forum.

                  Best,
                  Marc

                  Please, how can I resolve this ptoblem?

                    Hi Anna,

                    unfortunately Zuki doesn’t support an full width header image, but with additional custom CSS code you can change the behavior of this element. The following code can be a start for your adjustments:

                    @media screen and (min-width: 1260px) {
                    	#site-title {
                    		width: 100%;
                    	}
                    }

                    Best,
                    Marc

                    Hi Marc, it doesn’t work, I am trying all this day. I am a new in CSS and afraid I do something wrong…
                    1. Where exactly should be a code?

                    a img {
                    border: 0;
                    }

                    /*———————————————————————————–*/
                    /* 4.0 Header
                    /*———————————————————————————–*/

                    #site-title {
                    margin: 0;
                    padding: 12px 0 40px 20px;
                    text-align: left;
                    width: 70%;
                    float: left;
                    display: block; !important;

                    After “a img” or befor “#site-title”?

                    I tryed also with !important; with cleaning cacke, used alternative code…..

                    #header{
                    width: 1200px;
                    height: 350px;
                    background-color: #25B33f;
                    margin-bottom: 10px;
                    background-image: url(images/i8.png)
                    }

                    Could you please specify me where exactly it shold be and may bу and give me an alternative code?
                    Thank you beforehand

                    Zuki – Hintergrundbild soll automatisch wechseln

                    1. Frage
                    Gibt es für das Zuki Theme eine Art Slider oder spezielles Programm oder einfach nur nen Befehl, der automatisch meine Hintergrundbilder wechseln würde?

                    Ich hab mittlerweile über 30 Bilder zur Verfügung und es werden auch in Zukunft noch einige mehr. Und ich wähle hier nur ganz bestimmte Oldtimerbilder für mein Hintergrundbild aus, die der User sofort sehen soll.

                    Daher meine 2. Frage, ob man für oben genanntes eine Galerie zusammenstellen könnte und diese dann ganz speziell einstellen kann für den Hintergrund?

                      Hallo @oldtimerphotography,

                      wenn ich dich richtig verstehe suchst du einen Hintergrund-Slider, der fortwährend das Hintergrundbild wechselt. Dafür gibt es einige Plugins, auf welche Zuki jedoch leider nicht vorbereitet ist. Das heißt hier müsstest du ggf. kleinere Anpassungen am CSS-Code vornehmen.

                      Im Plugin-Verzeichnis solltest du etwas geeignetes finden.

                      Viele Grüße

                      Überschriften in farbigen Boxen

                      Hallo Elmastudio,

                      ich habe mein Theme jetzt fast fertig eingerichtet und bin schon sehr zufrieden. Allerdings ist mir jetzt aufgefallen, dass Überschriften in den farbigen Boxen Probleme machen.

                      Setze ich die Öffnung der Überschrift vor grey_box, dann bricht die Darstellung: Die Überschrift selbst erscheint winzig und der weitere Text ist nicht mehr in der Box.

                      Setze ich die Öffnung nach grey_box, dann ist zwischen Beginn der farbigen Box und den Beginn der Überschrift eine richtiggehende Kluft.

                      Zur Veranschaulichung habe ich direkt beispielhaften Code eingefügt.

                      [grey_box]Überschrift

                      h2 befindet sich vor grey_box[/grey_box]

                      [grey_box]

                      Überschrift

                      h2 befindet sich nach grey_box [/grey_box]

                      Ich möchte gern meine farbigen Boxen direkt mit Überschriften beginnen können, daher wäre ich für euren Input sehr dankbar.

                      Viele Grüße
                      Elena

                        Hallo Elena,

                        bitte füge die Überschrift innerhalb des Shortcodes für die Boxen ein, sonst entstehen leider unvorhersehbare Probleme bei der Strukturierung des Codes. Um dann den Platz oberhalb der Überschrift zu reduzieren, kannst du folgenden ergänzenden CSS-Code verwenden:

                        .white-box h2,
                        .blue-box h2,
                        .yellow-box h2,
                        .red-box h2,
                        .green-box h2,
                        .lightgrey-box h2,
                        .grey-box h2,
                        .dark-box h2 {
                        	margin-top: 0;
                        }

                        Older Posts Widget ZUKI

                        Hallo ihr Lieben!

                        Auf meinem Blog finde ich nirgends die Option, wenn man auf der Startseite nach unten scrollt, ältere Beiträge anzeigen zu lassen. Ich hab ein externes Widget installiert, aber das klappt auch nicht.

                        Überseh ich da irgendwas?

                        FRONT

                        Dankeschön!

                          Hallo @piccolezza,

                          ein Link zur Anzeige älterer Beiträge ist leider von den Zuki-Widgets nicht vorgesehen. Du könntest jedoch z. B. ein zusätzliches Text-Widget mit einem HTML-Link in den Startseiten-Widgetbereichen platzieren.

                          Viele Grüße

                          Zuki: does zuki work good with some plugins?

                          I want to redesign my site buying Zuki but I need some additional information. I tried to write to elmastudio mail, but didn’t have all questions responsed..

                          1. In my site i write in russian, it is cyrillic..i should use fonts plugins. Does Zuki work good with both WP Google Fonts and Supreme Google Webfonts?
                          2. Does Zuki is optimised with mobile and i pad screens?
                          3. Does Zuku suport Disqus as comment?

                          Thank you
                          Good day
                          Best regards,

                            Hi Anna,

                            1) Zuki isn’t especially prepared for such plugins, but you can use these to make Google fonts available on your website. After this step, you can change the font family with the help of additional CSS code. You should find some posts dealing with this matter in the forum already.

                            2) Zuki is fully responsive and will display an adjusted and for touch devices optimized view on smaller screens like smartphones or tablets.

                            3) Unfortunately Zuki isn’t prepared for the Disqus plugin, but it should work in general. At the most some CSS adjustments will be required.

                            Best,

                          Theme customizer not working with Zuki

                          hello!
                          I have a problem with customizing the zuki theme. When I go to Appearances > Customise, the page is blank, no options shows.

                          Is there a solution to this issue (and if not, is there a way I can change my logo, background… Without using the theme customizer?)
                          Thanks a lot

                                Das habe ich probiert. Leider geht mein Download-Link nicht mehr. Ich habe damals das Theme-Bundle gekauft und jetzt geht der Link nicht mehr :-( – was kann ich jetzt tun?

                              Hi Burak,

                              I’m so sorry that I didn’t reply sooner. Unfortunately Zuki only supports standard posts in it’s widgets at the moment. Which Custom Post Types do you have and do you use a plugin to create them?

                              Best, Ellen

                              Zuki: Post Type Build plugin

                              Hello,

                              I use the Zuki theme for a book publishing company website.

                              I have two custom post types “Books” and “Authors” using PTB plugin.

                              Could you please let me know where I should look and edit in order to display my custom post types on the Zuki homepage instead of the WordPress’s default post types that the Zuki theme displays by default.

                              Thanks,
                              Burak

                                Hi Burak,

                                please understand that we cannot provide help for unsupported plugins in the forum.

                                You can customize the WP_Query function used in Zuki’s inc/widgets.php in order to select and display other post types. I strongly recommend using a child theme if you want to edit the theme files directly. A prepared child theme directory is linked in the Zuki documentation. Using a child theme will prevent losing your changes in case of a theme update.

                                Best,
                                Marc

                                Hi Marc,

                                I will take a look at that widget page and hopefully be able to sort things out but I might ask some more questions regarding the theme. I already use the child theme by the way in order to keep up with your theme updates. Thank you so much for the useful information.

                                Thanks,

                                Hi Marc,

                                I would be so glad if you let me know how I can call a custom post type for the below widget on zuki theme if you can tell me that I would be so relieved:

                                My custom post type is already created its name is “books”. Where should I change in the below code to call “books” post type or instead of changing including the custom post type would also be fine?

                                  Hi Burak,

                                  you need to adjust the parameters of the WP_Query function in order to load and display your custom post type, since by default this function would only load default posts.

                                  Best,

                              Hello! Some people who have Chrome on Mac don’t see bold text in the posts.

                              Aaptiv 101: Treadmill

                              The three lines at the bottom – ((Hot & Cold Jog (Beginner) Attack Those Legs (Intermediate) I’m a Diva (Advanced)) – should be in bold, but it doesn’t show up like that on Macs running a Chrome browser. Any idea what’s up? Thanks!

                                Hi @skrotfooey,

                                it seems that Safari uses the system font Avenir, while Chrome will only access the embedded fonts. In your child theme’s style.css only Avenir-Medium is embedded, I guess you need other font weights as well in order to display it the same way, as it’ll be displayed in Safari.

                                Hi! I would like to apply the same social media icons at the top right corner of Weta theme to the Zuki theme. Can you please help me with where to insert what codes?

                                  Hi @burak,

                                  please understand that we cannot provide help for individual customizations in the forum.

                                  You can purchase the the Weta theme in order to study the used code for implementing a custom menu and utilizing it to display custom icons.

                                  I strongly recommend using a child theme for such theme customizations. A prepared child theme directory is linked in the Zuki documentation.

                                  Best,
                                  Marc

                                  zuki and yoast

                                  hello there, i’m having issues with my yoast pluggin on my blog marcelasenise.it

                                  meaning until a week or so ago it did work normaly, with the trafic lights all functioning. all of the sudden it was gone. It won’t let me work on insert any keyword. it doen’t even have the windows anymore for readability and keyword.
                                  i already deactivated, uninstalled, installed again, reactivate, re-installed wp update but nothing has changed.

                                  I appreciate your help

                                  thank you

                                    Hi @marcelasenise,

                                    Zuki isn’t interfering with any plugin related mechanisms in your dashboard. Please contact the plugin support, they should be able to work. To completely rule out that the theme itself has anything to do with it, you can temporarily switch to a default theme like “Twenty Sixteen” and check the issue again.

                                    Best,
                                    Marc

                                    zuki – image size on single post

                                    hello!

                                    on my single posts, i’d like my images to be the same width as the featured image.

                                    here’s a link to a post with both featured image and other images. http://teste.francinha.com/teste.francinha.com/do-mar/sopa-de-frutos-do-mar/

                                    the original image on my gallery is already wider than 660px.

                                    Thanks,
                                    vivian.

                                      Hi Vivian,

                                      you can place your images while editing the post within the following code in order to allow them being as wide as the featured image:

                                      <div class="wide-content">
                                      ... your image ...
                                      </div>

                                      Please use the text editor to add code directly to your posts, in order to prevent WordPress from adding p-tags around your code lines. You can switch from Visual to Text on the top right of your content area while editing the post.

                                      Best,
                                      Marc

                                          Hi @alexa-h,

                                          this should be able with additional CSS code. The following code should work for images with captions:

                                          .wp-caption {
                                          	margin: 0 -160px 26px -40px !important;
                                          	max-width: initial;
                                          }

                                          Best,
                                          Marc

                                      Hallo zusammen Bei der Handy Version vom Zuki…

                                      Hallo zusammen.

                                      Bei der Handy Version vom Zuki Theme erscheint der über dem Foto auf der Startseite gelagerte Text im Gegensatz zu der Desktop Version nicht. Angezeigt wird nur der Titel. Kann ich das ändern? Sonst müsste ich auf ein anderes Theme wechseln, weil ich dort die wichtigsten Infos platzieren möchte.
                                      freundliche Grüße

                                        Könntest du uns einen Link zu deiner Webseite geben, damit mir uns das mal ansehen können?
                                        Was nutzt du für ein Smartphone? Tritt der Fehler auch auf, wenn du das Browserfenster am PC zusammen schiebst?

                                        meine site: http://s448012079.online.de
                                        nee, der Fehler, sofern es einer ist taucht nur auf den Smartphones iPhone 5 und Microsoft LUMIA 950 etc. ..auf.
                                        Wenn ich das Browserfenster auf´m Läppi zusammenziehe schrumpelt auch alles zusammen, aber das kennen wir ja schon.

                                        Danke übrigens für die schnelle Reaktion!

                                          Hallo Tom,

                                          mit folgendem ergänzenden CSS-Code sollte den Auszug in diesem Overlay immer anzeigen, auch auf kleinen Bildschirmen:

                                          #featured-content p.summary {
                                          	display: block;
                                          }

                                          Bitte beachte, dass dadurch ggf. weitere Anpassungen notwendig sind, da es vom Theme eigentlich nicht vorgesehen ist, den Auszug auf kleinen Geräten darzustellen.

                                          Viele Grüße
