    Onigiri Search Bar Font

    Hi Ellen,

    I really need some help regarding the Onigiri theme.

    I need to change the font of the search bar (at the bottom of the theme), and haven’t a clue where you alter this.

    Please can you or someone help?

    Thanks :)

      Hi @rholyhead,

      you can use the following additional CSS code to change the font of the footer search:

      	.search-footer * {
      		font-family: Arial, sans-serif;
      	}

      Best,
      Marc

      Text bei nicht vorhandenem Suchbegriff

      Hallo ins Elmastudio,
      ich nutze das Dorayaki-Theme.
      An welcher Stelle kann ich den Text ändern, der bei Eingabe eines Suchbegriffes erscheint, wenn keine Einträge gefunden werden?
      Ich müsste von “Du” auf “Sie” ändern.

        Hallo @d87,

        du findest diesen Text in der deutschen Sprachdatei von Dorayaki. Das Plugin “Loco Translate” kann dazu genutzt werden, diese Übersetzungen anzupassen.

        Viele Grüße
        Marc

      Zuki: Suchfunktion im Single-View funktioniert nicht

      Ahoi!

      Mir ist gerade per Zufall aufgefallen, dass die Suche auf meiner Seite überall funktioniert, nur im Single-View öffnet sich das Suchfeld seltsamerweise nicht. Jemand eine Idee, woran das liegen könnte?

      Danke und viele Grüße

        Hallo Florian,

        ich habe gerade deine Seite getestet. Da die Suche in der Live-Demo von Zuki (z.B. http://themes.elmastudio.de/zuki/2013/06/11/udon/) funktioniert, vermute ich dass eventuell ein Plugin das Problem verursacht. Manchmal laden Plugins Scripte nicht korrekt und “überlagern” so andere Codebereiche.

        Könntest du einmal versuchen das Plugin für deine Share-Buttons oder den Audio-Player probehalber zu deaktivieren, um zu schauen ob es daran liegt?

        Viele Grüße, Ellen

          Hi Ellen,

          der Hinweis mit dem Plugin war richtig, allerdings war es keins in der Richtung, sondern das Plugin „WordPress HTTPS“. Aber danke für den Tipp!

          Viele Grüße
          Florian

      Weta theme. Search field in header social menu

      Hi,

      Loving the new Weta theme and have been busy going through the online video tutorials.

      However, something that puzzles me is how to place a search field into the ‘header social menu’.

      The online ‘Live-Demo’/preview of Weta shows as upper-right ‘header social menu’. This menu shows social media icons, a search field, Login/Register and Cart (0).

      However, no matter what I try I can’t get the search field to show at this location.

      Does it require a specific combination of Weta page type? Do I need to add content/stock to WooCommerce first? I don’t think it’s custom code as I see other Weta-based sites in the showcase and most of these also have the search field in the header social menu.

      It therefore looks like something I am doing wrong (wouldn’t be the first time!) ;)
      I’d therefore be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. :)

      Thank you in advance.

      Lucy x

        Hi Knut,

        Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
        I also received some very kind assistance from other Weta/forum users on this matter.

        All fixed! :D

        In future I’ll pay much more attention to documentation/custom theme options. ;)

        Thanks once again. :)

        Just a question about the search field on Zuki. When I search for a term that does not return any results, the upper right search box on the “not found” page is different from the search box on the other pages. Shouldn’t they be the same? How can I make the search box uniform throughout the theme?

        Thank you so much.

          Hi,

          you can use the following CSS to adjust the “not found” pages search box to be more like the default one. I’ll check if this is actually a bug.

          .search-no-results #searchform input#s {
          	width: 100%;
          	background: #f4f4f4;
          	border: none;
          }

          To add custom CSS to your site, you can follow these instructions: http://www.elmastudio.de/en/wordpress-en/custom-css-wordpress/

          Best,
          Marc

          Hi,

          I noticed that the search results for the Dorayaki theme don’t include the WP PageNavi at the bottom. I contacted the plugin and they informed me to ask the theme developer how to add it. Can you help? Here’s an example: http://www.iamthelab.com/?s=fonts&submit=Search The amount of results still appears, but there is no way to see all of the results.

          Brett

            auf der Suchergebnisseite wird mir ein anderer Footer Content angezeigt. Nicht der den ich im individuellen Footertext anlege.
            Wie kann ich das erreichen, dass mir dieser individual Footertext auch auf der Suchenseite angezeigt wird.

              gelöst:
              ich fand die entsprechende Stelle in der content-footer.php und übertrug diese in die search.php
              ich nahm den kompletten Site-footer mit rüber.
              Danke

              I thought that the 404 page for Oita defaulted to a page that actually included a search box, but I’m no longer seeing the search box. It doesn’t make sense to have a message inviting users to search for something and then not have a search box. Can this be fixed? Here are some examples:

              http://themes.elmastudio.de/oita/red

              http://dappledthings.me/red

              Thanks! :)

                Baylys Search – Change from Excepts to Full posts

                Anyone know the exact adjustments I need to make to the content.php so that searching categories will show entire posts vs. excerpts?

                  @brettiamthelab: I think it should work by just deleting the following code snippet in line 23 of the content.php file:

                  || is_search()

                    Hi Ellen,

                    I removed is_search from line 23 and it removed all text from the search results. Any other suggestions?

                      more than a year after your post, I had the same issue. Resolved it by changing in line 25 of the content.php file:

                      into

                      Now searching categories shows the full posts.

                        change
                        ?php the_excerpt(); ?
                        into
                        ?php the_content(); ?

                  Tatami Suchfeld buggy

                  Ich habe das Problem das die suche falsch dahrgestellt wird und zwar kleiner obwohl ich in der css nichts dergleichen verändert habe in der Klasse “.main-nav #s” habe das dann für mich auf 95% angepasst coderecho.com. Falls mal einer den selben fehler hat wie ich.

                  Eine andere sache ist auch die ich gern etwas anpasser, aber bin nicht so versiert in WordPress:

                  1) Ich möchte gern die PHP-File finden die die “Read more” enthält da möchte ich die Klammer wegtun die die “(…)” am ende des content umgibt

                  2) Und da ich das ändern möchte, habe ich schon oft versucht etwas im eigenen Editor per FTP-Client dies zu ändern jedoch habe ich keine schreibrechte kann man das irgendwie auch im WordPress aufheben. Ich könnte das eh per Filezilla lösen jedoch bin ich mit einem Fremden laptop unterwegs und kenne mein PW nicht auswendig. Wenn es da ne Hilfestellung gäbe wäre ich sehr dankbar.

                  Danke schon mal im vorhinein :D !

                    Change search box with WPML language choser // theme is Waipoua

                    Hello, I am trying to place the language switcher code on the place where the search form is in the nav bar. I have tried to do this but it does not look right. Perhaps you can help, how and where to place it and which code should I use. Pehaps you can guide me in the direction of the correct CSS as well. Perhaps too muc to ask but I am a newbie at this. Love your theme, nice colors ans nice lay-out. Remco

                      @remstoffer: I think you could use the standard language switcher (see WPML settings) and then choose to manually include the switche via the provided php code. I think it’s:

                      <?php do_action('icl_language_selector'); ?>

                      You need to replace this code snippet in the Waipoua header.php file with the code snippet of the search form (see line 77, header.php):

                      <?php get_search_form(); ?>

                      I hope this will get you started.

                      Best, Ellen
