Weta–The sharing buttons don’t display correctly

    Hi,

I have a big problem with the sharing buttons on my blog as they don’t display like in your demo at all.

I use the Jetpack plugin, I’ve done what Ellen says in the live demo (selecting icons only and checking the right box in the theme options) but it doesn’t look the same… For example, when I click on the sharing button (which doesn’t look nice BTW) at the end of a post, the icons display right under the title. So I would have to scroll up to share the post…

Any idea on how I can fix this?

You can have a look here to see how it looks: http://thebeautyisinthewalking.com/en (FYI: I use Polylang plugin, maybe it causes problem?)

    Many thanks!

    Veronique

      Hi Veronique,
I saw the issue, could you maybe send me a screenshot of the sharing settings? Maybe this way I can see, why the buttons are not displayed. I’m not 100% sure, but I think Polylang should not be the issue. You don’t by accident have any other maybe old share plugin activated or?
      Best, Ellen

I’ve just sent you screenshots by email.
I’ve no other sharing widgets activated…
        Thanks you,
        Veronique

      Hi there,
I’ve sent a few screenshots some weeks ago. Just want to know if you’re working on it or if there’s no solutions to my problem.
Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year to the Team!

Weta–Problem when I deactivate the “Read more” option

    Hi!

I use Weta theme for my blog (+Polylang plugin as it’s bilingual – can be useful to know) and I encountered some displaying problems when I deactivate the “Read More” option. A few pairs of parenthesis remain under the text blocks on my front page and nothing displays correctly or is aligned with anything…

    Any help?

    Thanks!

      Hi there,
could you send me a link directly to the issue. Maybe we can solve it with some custom CSS or I can make some improvements to the theme.
If I have your URL I can look directly at the code to see the issue.
      Thanks so much!
      Best, Ellen

          Hi @veronique,

I was checking your website between your last posts but couldn’t recognize the issue. Can you provide a screenshot of the problem?

          Best,
          Marc

I’ve sent you screenshots through elmastudio at gmail dot com so that you can see how it displays when I deactivate the Read more option.

Hi Véronique, thanks for sending the screenshots, I can see the issue. Its seems to be related to the Polylang plugin (at least that’s what I think), since I can not see the issue, when testing Weta without it. But of course I’m not 100% sure. Would you might leaving the “Read More” links active for now and with the next Weta update I will again look further into the issue?
Please let me know what you think.
      Best, Ellen

Yes, of course. I can keep them until next update. Let me know when you’ve fixed the issue!
        All the best,
        Véronique

      Hallo liebes Elmastudio-Team,

        Hello!
I set up two languages for following website: http://www.elsayfred.es/es/inicio/ and when I switch from ‘castellano’ to ‘english’ it doesn’t show up the slider with the featured images, who’s working perfectly well on the spanish site. In Language >> Customize >> Synchronization I checked the box ‘featured images’. I’m searching since a while but cannot find the mistake. Any idea how to fix that problem?

          Hi,

which tag do you use to mark your slider posts? Does the plugin translate this tag and may this be the problem? Please ask the author of the plugin if there are any known issues with JetPacks “featured content” feature.

          Best,
          Marc

          Hi Marc,

thanks a million for answering. I use the tag “featured” for the slider posts who are working fine on the spanish site, so the translation to english shouldn’t be the problem. I will contact Polylang, hope they get an idea.

          Thanks,
          Ramona.

Solved the problem! I just had to create a second post with a slider for the english site. I thought because the rest of posts were published automatically in both languages over the widgetsystem that the slider also appears automatically.

Hi Rast, I have the same problem as you had, but I can’t understand how to solve it. Can you describe the solition more detailed, please?

So with main language slider is ok, but when I change language to english there is now slider at all.

        Yoko Theme Sub Menu Multilanguage

        Hi guys

We are happily using your Yoko Theme for our NGO Website (www.ingog.ch). Now we implemented a multipage plugin (Polylang) to add a french version of our website. Now I could add the translated Header Menu to the french site but I couldn’t create a translated Sub Menu (the Menu has to be called “Sub Menu” in order to be activated, so there can’t be two menus with the same name..)

Is there a possibility to add a translated sub menu to the yoko theme? May I kindly ask you to add this function to a future update of the theme? Or do you have a similar theme which supports this function?

Thanks very much for your answer and have a nice day!
