      Weta – widget custumization – media queries override custom styling in child theme

      Hi there,

      I did a few CSS customizations on front page widgets in Weta, for example the widget_weta_quote.

      For example, I changed to color of the text:

      .widget_weta_quote blockquote.quote-text p {
      	color: #fff;
      }

      On desktop it’s working fine – but on smaller screen sizes it goes right back to the standard styles.
      I tried to add “!important” to my custom styles, and tried to wrap them in the media queries with the breakpoints from the parent theme style.css.
      But this didn’t help.

      Can anyone give me a hint where/how the media queries for smaller screen sizes revert the child theme styling back to the original?

      Cheers
      Alex

        Hi Alex,

        can you post a link to your website? I’d like to check the issue live.

          Hi Marc,

          sorry for the bother – it turned out to be a pretty stupid CSS mistake. That‘s what you get for being lazy and using the built-in WP dashboard editor ;-)

          Cheers
          Alex

        Hello,

        Does anybody know how to customize it?

        I would like to change the title position under the thumbnails when you see the site with PC,
        just same to the looking when you see with tablet or phone .

          Hi,

          please understand that we cannot provide help for individual customizations in the forum. The following CSS code should be a good start for your changes:

          @media screen and (min-width: 1200px) {
          	    .blog .entry-header {
          			position: static;
          			opacity: 1;
          		}
          }

          Best,
          Marc

          insert flavicon on Yoko & social media icons

          Hello,
          I cannot figure out how to insert my flavicon. Any help would be appreciated.

          Also, wonder if you will be adding a Pinterest icon to the social media icons.

          Finally, if one of your paid themes is more easily customizable (for example, more pre-defined options, less needing to tweak code to get what I’d like) and has a look similar to Yoko, please let me know.

          Thank you,

          Elizabeth
