      Hallo, habe mir das Themebundle vor ein paar tagen gekauft und bin besonders über Baysys sehr begeistert. Zwei Fragen habe ich über euer Forum lösen können, bei folgenden Problem komme ich nicht weiter:

      • Ich möchte ein breites Bild am Artikelstart platzieren, das _nur_ in der Langversion des Artikels zu sehen ist, das sich aber in der Beitragsübersicht nicht zeigt. Dort soll nur das Artikelbild zu sehen sein.
      • Mit dem Seitentemplate “Portfolio” funktioniert dies genau so, wie ich es haben möchte

        • Artikel 1. Zeile hat ein breites Bild
        • darunter steht Text, der mit (More …)

        @horstweber: Hi, bitte habe Verständnis dafür, dass wir im Forum keinen Support für individuelle Anpassungen geben können.

        Würdest du uns einen Link zu deiner Seite nennen? So könnte ich dir wenigstens einen kleinen Tipp geben.

        Viele Grüße

        I was recently updating the portfolio section of both my Japanese and English sites Japanese – tsunoshimagomi.comEnglish – tsunoshimatrash.com and noticed that the description text, which is truncated and a “read more” option is visible on my English version, extends beyond the text box border on the Japanese version. Both versions of the site use the same updated Baylys theme and matching plugins.

        Can someone help with this?

          @mike19145: Hey Mike, I just checked your site and I would suggest the following: You could add some custom CSS to extend the height of the portfolio section like:

          #content .post.portfolio-element {
          height: 570px !important;

          You can add the CSS via the Custom CSS feature of the Jetpack WordPress plugin or with the Custom CSS manager plugin. In case you are using a child theme, of course you can add the CSS there.

          Please let me know, if this worked.
          Best, Ellen

            Hey Ellen,

            I was investigating some options to get the “…Read more” text to show up with the shortened paragraphs again and maybe I should reinstall the theme? What do you think?

            If this is the best solution could you direct me somewhere that could guide me on how to do it and keep the formatting I’ve already done (just customization within WordPress, nothing to the theme HTML or CSS)?

          Hey Ellen,

          Thanks for the reply. Your themes are amazing.

          Ideally, I would like to not extend the height of the portfolio section. I would like the “…Read more” link and shortened paragraph text to be displayed the same on both sites?

          I like how the paragraph is shortened with the “…Read more” in the English version of the website and would like to have that on the Japanese as well.

          Thanks in advance for your help,

            @mike19145: Hi, after some research I think the problem is the WordPress excerpt function, which isn’t working for Japanese characters. You can simply set you own excerpt in the dashboard while editing the corresponding article. Click on the top right “Options” button and activate the excerpt checkbox. Now you can set your own excerpt per article. You can shorten the text so it fits in the portfolio box. I hope this works for you.

              Thanks Marc

              You are awesome. I really appreciate the help. I will definitely continue to buy these themes because of the great customer support.

              Regarding the fix, I will try it out on my next post.

          Where is post text size in Baylys style.css?

          Can someone point me to the exact place in the Baylys style.css where I could change the post text size? I’ve sifted through the entire file, and can find no reference to it. (I’m a designer, not a coder, so please have patience with me.) Thank you in advance for any help.

            @kmonkey: If you want to change the general post font size for Baylys on desktop screens you can find it inside the 768px screen width media queries (around line 2966) in the style.css, see:

            @media screen and (min-width: 768px)
            .entry-content p,
            .entry-summary p,
            .entry-content ol,
            .entry-content ul,
            .entry-content dl,
            .entry-content dl,
            .page-link {
            font-size: 20px;
            font-size: 1.25rem;

            For the rem value you can refer to the rem font-size value of your new font-size you can use this online tool: http://offroadcode.com/prototypes/rem-calculator/

            Thank you, Ellen. Found it, and got the text right where I want it size-wise. Just one more thing: Is there a setting that would reduce the space between paragraphs? Thank you for your help!
