    Suidobashi social icons in menu

    Hi,

    On the Suidobashi theme you have the menu which is all written without icons. I was wondering if it is possible to combine text and icons?

    I’d like to use social media icons instead of actually writing ‘Facebook’, ‘Instagram’,…

    Another question: on the mobile version the menu disappears and becomes a button ‘menu’ at the top right of the screen but there is a lot of space on the left. The logo doesn’t sit on the same height as the ‘menu’ button. Is there a possibility to fix this so the ‘menu’ button and the logo (+ all other content) are aligned at the same height?

    Thanks!

      Hi @christophe,

      please understand that we cannot provide help for individual customizations in the forum. I do remember a similar post in the forum, you should be able to find it. The code in that post can be adjusted to display icon and text.

      Can you provide a link to your website, I’d like to check the mobile layout live? Maybe I can provide some additional CSS code to re-align your logo.

      Best,
      Marc

        Hi Marc,

        Thank you for your answer. My website is http://www.cedepe.be
        About the icons, I’ll take a look at it. I hoped it would have been as easy as adding the code into the menu customizer, but that wasn’t the case. I’ll dig a little deeper into the forum though.

        Thanks in advance.
        Christophe

          Hi Christophe,

          the following additional CSS code may be a start for repositioning the logo:

          #site-title {
          	margin: 0;
          }
          @media screen and (min-width: 767px) {
          	#site-title {
          		margin: 35px 0 0 0;
          	}
          }

          Best,
          Marc

      Remove related projects – Suidobashi

      Hi,

      Is there a way to remove the related projects? Screenshot at: http://oi65.tinypic.com/fnh83b.jpg
      i am talking about the text right under the social media buttons.

      I guess it has something to do with project tags. I deleted all the tags (including on the project tags page). But the related projects are still there.
      Can somebody please help?

      Thanks!

        Hi @christophe,

        please check if the Related Posts feature of your JetPack plugin is activated and disable it in this case.

        Best,
        Marc

        Change language previous/next buttons + more projects preview

        Hi,

        Is there a way to change the language of the previous/next buttons in the Suidobashi theme?

        Second question: at the bottom of each project/post you see “More Projects”. Does this come automatically or do I have to activate this in some sort of way?

        Thanks!!

          Hi,

          just install the “LocoTranslate” Plugin and change the labels in the English language.

          Hi @christophe,

          as @fmalik already said, you can use the Loco Translate plugin to change the labels in existing language files. The base language is English, therefore no language file is needed or delivered by the theme. If you want to use an English WordPress installation, you can simply create a new language file with the plugin mentioned before and only need to “translate” the strings you want to change.

          The “more projects” section will be filled automatically, you don’t need to activate this feature.

          Best,
          Marc

            Hi Mark,

            Thank you for your reply. Everything is working fine! I still have one question though. The “more projects” section shows up as you said, but I was wondering if there is also the possibility to have the same thing on a blog post? So it won’t be “more projects” but “more articles” for example. I know this isn’t shown in the live preview, but maybe there is a possibility to do this?

            @fmalik Thank you for your answer!

            Thank you!

          Blog page to blog post

          Hi,

          In the live demo of Suidobashi you have a blog PAGE from where you can go to the blog POSTS. The blog POSTS show extra content like sharing buttons etc (great!), the blog PAGE doesn’t (great!).

          1) Now my question: how can I do this? Now I have my blog PAGE where all my POSTS are stored including the share/subscribe options!
          2) Is it possible on the blog PAGE to only show a small piece of text from one post followed by a “Read more” button which leads to that specific blog post?

          Thanks in advance!

            Hi @christophe,

            1) the theme demo uses the JetPack share buttons, which can be configured to display only on single post pages within the JetPack settings in your dashboard.

            2) You can use the More-Tag to manually create a break in your content, where everything before is printed on the posts page and the complete content is available only on the single post page.

            Best,
            Marc

              Hi Marc,

              Thank you for your help. I noticed that the share buttons only appear when the posts are published for public. That’s why the JetPack icons didn’t show up!

              Thanks again!
