    Hi Marc,
I have the same issue like jufo (she asked in April 2014 I think): I don’t want portfolio pages to be shown alongside Blog posts.
I’ve tried to create a Portfolio section by following this advice: http://en.support.wordpress.com/portfolios/
    It’s not working.

Do you have any other suggestion? You mention another plugin. Could you specify exactly what sort of plugin to use?
I’m also considering linking to a seperate Blog WP theme, FYI.

    My site: http://sophielepinoy.com/portfolio-2/
on the Portfolio page, under the Brand Design section, I removed the 3 items that were in blog posts format by changing the slug in the Appearance/Widgets section.
I created a Portfolio page (http://sophielepinoy.com/portfolio/elisabeth-lang-interiors/), hoping it’d show under portfolio, but it’s not showing anywhere.

    Thank you

      Hi Sophie,

unfortunately Dorayaki does not support the WordPress-Jetpack Portfolio feature. But instead you can use default blog posts and mark them with a “Portfolio” category.

If you want, you can try out the following plugin to hide your Portfolio posts in your blogs front page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-hide-post/

      Best, Ellen

      Slider in posts

I have Dorayaki. I’d like to have a simple a slider at the top of some posts (like the one on the front page of the Dorayaki website, but smaller).

Like this, but with always visible commands for users to go back and forth in the slider: http://www.andreawong.de/leonard/

I tried Responsive Slider plugin. I don’t see how to use it: I installed it but then I don’t see how to upload several images. I can only link to 1 URL… I must be missing something. It also says on their site that you can only have 1 slider per site, which is a problem. See this page: http://wordpress.org/plugins/responsive-slider/faq/

I would like a slider on a post like this one (my site obviously):

Thank you very much – nice theme.

@sophieley: Hi, you can actually use only one responsive slider per site. Dorayaki is built to use the plugin for its front-page slider. You need to find another plugin, which fits your needs.

To add more slides to your responsive slider plugin, you can go to your dashboard and click on “Slides” -> “Add New Slide”. You can choose a URL for each slide and you can add the image itself as featured image on the “Edit Slide” page.

Go to Design > Widgets > Footer Column 1 – and remove the widget that is active there.

How do I install Dorayaki? the documentation does not seem to work for me

I’m on the first step of the Dorayaki documentation. When I am on my WordPress dashboard under “Appearance”, I can not find “Install theme”. I showed it to someone else and he could not find it either. I am not comfortable with FTP and prefer doing it via my WordPress dashboard.
I have an existing blog. I read online that I don’t find “Install theme” because I’m on WordPress.com, NOT WordPress.org. So I guess I need to transfer my blog to WordPress.org? is that correct? I wish it was explained in the documentation.

For your information, I also tried to translate the forum into English but it takes many hours (I got up to 31 percent of translation in a few hours).

@sophieley: Yes, I’m very sorry for this misunderstanding. Yes, our Premium themes are only suitable on WordPress.org self-hosted WordPress sites at the moment. Of course I understand, if you don’t want to change your blog to a self-hosted version and you can just write me a short email to request a refund for your Dorayaki purchase. Again I’m really sorry that you had trouble because of this misunderstanding. Best regards, Ellen
