      Center the Footer for Media Query CSS for Weta

      Hi there,

      I am trying to center our footer so that it aligns with our site info + social media for the mobile view (@ media screen and (max-width: 768px) , but when I try text-align: center, it doesn’t align with the bottom. Also text-align: center does not work for the images that I have used in a text-widget. Could you advise? Link to website is http://www.ottiya.com

        Hi,

        please try the following additional CSS code in order to center the site info and social media icons in your footer:

        @media screen and (min-width: 1023px) {
        	#colophon #site-info {
        			text-align: center;
        			float: none;
        			margin: 0;
        	}
        	#footer-social-nav {
        			text-align: center;
        			float: none;
        	}
        }

        Please make sure to overwrite “float”-properties, if you want to center images.

        Best,
        Marc

      Changing font size of text from text widget on the front page

      Hi there,

      I am trying to change the font size of the text of a text widget on the front page.
      On the custom CSS, I put font-size: 50px; & also tried 1.25em & also tried medium, etc. but there are no changes.
      It’s strange because I was able to apply other styles to the text (like font family, position, etc.). How do I override the
      pre-set font size for text in text widget boxes? ( i am using Weta)

        Hi,

        most browsers provide a tool to inspect the used CSS code of elements. Simply right click on an element and select “Inspect Element”, “Element Information” or else and the tool will open. It shows the used CSS and how to address the elements in custom code.

        I think the font-size is currently being set by a more explicit selector. If you provide a direct link to your website and tell us which text you want to adjust, we can provide some sample code.

        Best,
        Marc

        Hi Ellen & team What is the recommended…

        Hi Ellen & team,

        What is the recommended height/width for images for content 1 and sidebar 1?
        On the documentation it says:
        • Blog sidebar: 280
        • Sidebar 1 and 2 Front page: 300

        Is this width? Height? Is this for maximum resolution?

          Hi,

          the specified values refer to the available widths in these sidebars.

          The maximum width of content 1 is 820 pixels.

          Best,
          Marc

            Thanks Marc, so would you recommend that when we create images to place in the sections, we make it at the maximum width?
