      Zuki slider

      Hello Elma Studios :)

      As you know I love your themes and this is my second site using Zuki! I just have a few questions.

      1. The slider size, can it be smaller as it is taking over the site a little.

      2. The arrows on the slider, can I hide this as I have followed the fab instructions on here and made the slider auto transition.

      3. The logo, I would really like this bigger in size, I have tried adding larger headers but the text goes blurry and the space is even bigger.

      4. I would also like to add a phone number to the top right of the site, how would I do this?

      The site I am talking about is http://www.orchardcarpentry-dorset.co.uk

      As ever I would be really gratefull for all your help and advice.

      Kind regards

      Charlotte

        Zuki theme

        Hi there

        Love you themes as always, just need a little help with this theme,

        1. I would like the logo evenly spaced between the top menu and the primary, I have tried changing the css myself but its not made any difference. Sussed!
        2. The menu bars i would like to add a colour band round them and white text, is this possible?
        3. The menu at the bottom of the page, the social menu could this be the same as the primary one?
        4.  Can I make the widgets at the bottom of the front page central?

        http://www.beyoufitness.co.uk

        Thanks in advance.

          Hi Charlotte,

          1) the following additional CSS code should at least reduce the width between logo and main menu:

          @media screen and (min-width: 1260px){
          	#site-nav {
          		padding: 0 0 80px;
          	}
          }

          2) The following code can be a start. Please understand that we cannot provide help for individual customizations:

          	#site-nav ul {
          		background: #ff0000;
          	}
          	#site-nav ul.nav-menu > li > a {
          		color: #ffffff;
          	}

          3) You can create the same structure for the footer menu, but you’d need to adjust the CSS code in order to display text links instead of icons.

          4) Since Zuki provides five columns as widget areas, you can place a text widget in the first footer widget area and set its title to:

          Now your three widgets should be placed in the columns two to four.

          Best,
          Marc

            Thanks Marc

            I have tried the code for trying to change the menu colour and font colour but it has not worked for some reason it makes no difference? What am I doing wrong?

            I have overcome the bottom menu now and the widgets so its looking much cleaner!

            Kind regards

          Weta Gallery

          Hello

          I am loving the Weta theme, I want to add a gallery of some of my work on the front page, I think if I am not mistaken the only way would be to create individual posts and then add theme as a slidebar widget, I would be really greatful to know if there was another way as I could be spamming my followers with new posts.

          Thanks

          Charlotte

            Hi Charlotte,

            maybe you can find a plugin with a gallery widget you can place inside your sidebar. Another possibility would be to manually add images with HTML code in text widgets. Here is an example:

            <img src="http://url.to/your-image.jpg">
            <p>Maybe some descriptive text...</p>
            <img src="http://url.to/your-image.jpg">
            <p>Maybe some descriptive text...</p>
            <img src="http://url.to/your-image.jpg">
            <p>Maybe some descriptive text...</p>

            Best,
            Marc

              Hi Charlotte,

              please switch to the Text editor by clicking on Text (top right corner of the content area) while editing your about page. Please try to wrap your paragraphs with P-tags:

              <p>Your text, followed by another paragraph.</p>
              <p>Next paragraph with more information.</p>

              These tags should actually be placed automatically by WordPress, but in some cases plugins or other tags prevent this automatism.

              Best,
              Marc

            Hello, I am new to your lovely themes but they are all great! I am having a slight issue with the Weta theme, my blog http://www.freshandrosy.co.uk is all over to the left, but I would like it centralised or at least a margin to the left.

            How would I do this?

            Thanks in advance

            Charlotte

              Hi Charlotte,

              I just checked the original Weta theme file, but could not find the same issue there. Somehow the CSS styles don’t seem to catch on. To sort this out could you please let me know, if you are using a child theme?

              Also could you test to deactivate all plugins shortly, to see if one plugin is causing any issues. E.g. I saw that you have somehow a second Twitter button at the bottom of the posts on the blog page. Is this coming from a second share plugin? Maybe this is causing the issue.

              Please let me know, if this is not helping.

              As a first workaround you can try to add the following custom CSS via the Jetpack custom CSS feature (under Appearance / Edit CSS, if you have activated the feature in the Jetpack setting):

              .blog-wrap {
              	margin: 0 auto !important;
              }
              @media screen and (min-width: 860px) {
              #blog_subscription-2.jetpack_subscription_widget {margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0;}
              }

              Best, Ellen
