      thumbnails on single posts / Zeitreise theme

      Hi Elmastudio team,

      I have a simple question : is there any way for not showing thumbnails on single project posts ? I’m working this time with Zeitreise theme (single projects on jetpack portfolio), and I would like to keep the thumbnail on front page but not to show it in single post.

      Thank yo so much for your advice,

      Elena

        Hi Elena,

        the following additional CSS code will hide the featured image of your project on the single project page:

        .single-jetpack-portfolio .entry-thumbnail {
        	display: none;
        }

        Best,
        Marc

        how to insert text over image

        Hi Marc, Ellen,

        Thank you for all you help. Last issue has been resolved :).
        I would have two more questions, this time concerning Zeitreise & Ubud themes :

        1- How can I insert text over un image, in a page ?
        2- How can I create a colour banner (grey for exemple) with text on it (something like colour boxes, but simpler and uniform) ?

        Best,

        Elena

          Hi Elena,

          you can use CSS code to overlay an image with text or create a colored text box. Please understand that we cannot provide help for individual customizations in the forum.

          You can use HTML code in your text editor (you can switch from visual to text on the top right of the content area while editing a post or page). For example the following:

          <div class="my-text-box">This is boxed text.</div>

          Now you can add additional CSS code which styles the container of the text:

          .my-text-box {
          padding: 5px;
          background: #ccc;
          color: #fff;
          }

          Overlaying an image with text is a little bit more complex, but if you are willing to deal with CSS, you should find plenty of code examples on the web.

          Best,
          Marc

        hawea_front page

        Hi elmastudio team,

        I am creating a website with HAWEA theme. I have created a static front page (with “front page” model), and 2 articles (visible under menu product categories).

        Althought all front page settings are active, no products are visible on the frontpage : http://blaue-lab.com/

        Thanks for your help,

        elena

          Hi Elena,
          thanks so much for letting me know about the issue. I will test the theme again, until now I did not notice any issues with Hawea and the new WP 4.6 update. I will let you know, as soon as I have any updates/fixes.
          Thanks so much for your patience!
          Best, Ellen

          Hi Elena,

          I wasn’t able to reproduce this problem. You are currently using Zeitreise on your Website, if you’re willing to switch back to Hawea, please let me know and I’ll check your page again to see if I can spot any problems.

          Best,
          Marc

          Hi Ellen, Marc,
          I have switched back to Hawea in my website : http://blaue-lab.com/, so as you can spot the problem.

          My question concerns Hawea sections on front page : “product categories” “latest products” “featured products”, etc … ; where do I create them, how do they get to appear on front page ? All front page settings are active, and homepage is a “front page” model.

          I don’t see any specific widgets for this theme in customisation options.

          Best,
          elena

            Hi Elena,

            please change all your settings (count of products to display in each section) once and save the changes. Now make sure your products are organized in categories, you have products on sale and featured products in order to use these specific sections of Hawea’s front page.

            Best,
            Marc

              Hi Marc, Ellen,

              I have changed settings (to display only 2 products for exemple) , and products are allright defined under categories.
              However, front page is still showing none of them. Are you sure there’s no issue with WP 4.6 update ?
              Thanks,

              elena

                Hi Elena,

                I’m quite sure, but I like to take a look at your dashboard if you let me. I’ll send an email, to discuss this further.

          May I have your advice, do you have any correction to this bug ?
          Best regards,

            Hi Elena,

            another four-columns-one-container appears within your first column. Please check again if your code looks like this:

            [four_columns_one]

            first column content here...

            [/four_columns_one]

            [four_columns_one]

            second column content here...

            [/four_columns_one]

            [four_columns_one]

            third column content here...

            [/four_columns_one]

            [four_columns_one_last]

            fourth column content here...

            [/four_columns_one_last]

            [divider]

            You can post your own code here by using code tags: [code]Your Code here….[/code]

            In order to prevent WordPress from adding additional potentially breaking p-tags, please use the text editor to place your code and content. You can switch from Visual to Text on the top right of your content area while editing your page.

            Best,
            Marc

              Thank you so much !
              I have resolved it; in effect, I had other p-tags interfering in first column code.

              Hi Elena,

              you can edit the js/functions.js file of your theme. You’ll find the slider settings after the following comment in this file:

              	// Slider Header Front Page

              You can find the possible settings on this page.

              Best,
              Marc
