            Hi @caro1432,

            the following additional CSS code should hide your header image while displaying single posts:

            .single-post #site-header {
            	display: none;
            }

            Social media buttons can be added by several plugins. The live demo uses the sharing buttons provided by the Jetpack plugin.

            You can fill out your “Biographical Info” in your dashboard at Users -> Your Profile and it’ll be displayed below your posts.

            Best,
            Marc

          Social media icons on posts

          Hello I just purchased the Uku theme and it is lovely! I would like the social media icons to diplay at the top of the posts like the Pirongia demo but I cannot find the relevant setting. I would like like for my email to not to show at the top of the post. Thanks!

            Uku- Pirongia white overlay

            Hello

            How do I change the transparency of the white overlay title over the featured images. I would like to dim it.

            Thanks

              Hi @caro1432,

              you can change the background property of these elements by inspecting theme and using additional CSS code.

              Most browsers provide a tool to inspect the used CSS code of elements. Simply right click on an element and select “Inspect Element”, “Element Information” or else and the tool will open. It shows the used CSS and how to address the elements in custom code.

              Here is an example:

              .section-one-column-two .entry-header h2.entry-title {
                  background: rgba(255,255,255,0.7);
              }

              Best,
              Marc

            Hi I am interested in purchasing the uku…

            Hi,

            I am interested in purchasing the uku-pirongia, however I have had issues with resizing images before and I saw that the slider images, featured images etc. all have different sizes. I was wondering if when I upload an image on a post as a featured image, if it will automatically resize to fit the slider and posts. And is it possible to have the About me section at the top and the slider dircetly below it? Or must the slider always be at the top.

            Thank you :)
            Caroline

              Hi Caroline,

              WordPress will create the needed image sizes on uploading while the theme is active. Please simply follow the recommendations for the image sizes in the Uku documentation.

              Unfortunately the order of the sections is given, but I’d help you changing it with the use of a child theme. A prepared child theme folder is linked in the Uku documentation.

              If you install Uku followed by the installation and activation of its child theme we can start right away.

              Best,
              Marc

                Okay thank you!
                I also primarily wanted to purchase the Uku theme because of the white/transparent title description that appears over the feautured images on the front page. However I have read the tutorial and it does not explain how to create that. Is that a customisation option from the theme or would I have to edit my pictures and add it myself?
